Giving breast cancer a “Slice of Hope”

Giving breast cancer a “Slice of Hope”

On October 7th, (this Friday!) MozzaPi will be helping to raise critical funding for breast cancer research by donating a percentage of  sales to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation, a national charity based in Seattle.  In addition to the percentage of sales being donated, the MozzaPi truck will be offering their signature dessert – S’mores – free with a donation to the cause.

October 7th has been designated as a National Pizza Party Day by Slice of Hope, a pizza industry charitable initiative. Slice of Hope has banded together pizzerias from across the nation in an effort to fight this invasive disease.  Slice of Hope is spearheaded by Pizza Today magazine editor Jeremy White. White, Pizza Today publisher Pete Lachapelle and a small team of cyclists will bike from Portland, Ore. to Seattle, Wash., Oct. 4-7 to raise awareness for Slice of Hope’s fight against breast cancer. On Oct. 7, pizzerias across the nation — including MozzaPi — will donate funds to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation, which has committed to giving 100 percent of the Slice of Hope proceeds to a handful of the nation’s leading breast cancer research labs.

This is something as a company and a family we feel very strongly about.  We are excited to be able to be a part of a national movement with others in our industry who are helping make a difference.  We would love it if you could join us on October 7th, (This FRIDAY!) from 5-9pm at the Food Truck Round Up located at Main St Gardens, 836 Main St (Corner of Main & Campbell) to help show Louisville’s support.

P.S. If you haven’t had a chance to try our s’mores yet I personally recommend you make it a point to stop by.  They are Scrum-del-i-umptious! Just to get your mouth watering more I attached a picture below.  Your welcome:) See you Friday!
