Una Pizza Napoletana Review

Una Pizza Napoletana!!! Could there be anymore hype surrounding this place? It seems people either LOVE the pizzeria with its minimalist approach to pizza or they HATE it, commonly referring to Anthony Mangieri as the “Pizza Nazi.” Don’t believe me? Check out their Yelp! reviews, it paints a pretty colorful picture. Well, let me paint you a picture: We walk in the door and are greeted with a smile. That’s right I said a smile. Pretentious? Rude? I think not. Anthony’s wife seats us at a table close to the action, which really wasn’t hard to do since every table in the house is close to the action a.k.a Anthony cranking out pies solo from his beautiful Italian oven. We ordered

which all came out very efficiently. Delicious. Anthony knows what he is doing with pizza. Nothing short of a skilled craftsman obsessed and dedicated to his trade. Which is why the ranting on Yelp! really bothers us. So what if he doesn’t cut your pizza for you? Personally we enjoyed serving each other. Too expensive? Pshhh! For 5 of us we left with a bill of $83 with our tip and drinks. It’s San Francisco people! $20 for a pie that has that much passion and commitment, a pie where you can tell quality has not been compromised- I’ll gladly pay that. So from all of us here at MozzaPi- Anthony we LOVE what you are doing at UPN and truly appreciate the level of devotion you have for your pies!
